Could this be the most remote Marriott in the world?
This is a wonderful Marriott in the middle of the jungle. The only way to get there is to fly in and the staff are waiting for you at the airstrip. The resort minimizes its footprint in the jungle and embraces the local surroundings.
You will NOT have reliable internet or connectivity at this resort which we lived with so prepare for your stay that you may be effectively be cut off.
The resort is beautiful the staff is great...and very close to the national park

Wohlfühlhotel
Wunderschön gelegenes und angelegtes Hotel. Sehr großes Zimmer, großes Bad. Kostenloser Shuttleservice von und zum Nationalpark. Sehr freundliches Personal, besonders JJ !!! Sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt
Internet ist schlecht, aber Hotel liegt eben mitten im Regenwald.

Fantastic staff!
Thank you very much for making our stay possible. Without the superb personal caring and intelligent support of the staff our son-in-law could not have stayed in Mulu and enjoyed himself. We had a great stay (as we always do in the Mulu Marriott) and will definitely come again.
The bar is not sophisticated and buzzing and it SHOULD NOT BE. This is a retreat from the busy world and all the better for quiet and nature.
No WiFi and no 3g worth mentioning. For us we find this to be a great positive change and a chance to recharge our batteries. As long as guests know beforehand.

Mulu marriott
The hotel was lovely and the pool was nice. All staff were very friendly and we had a lovely time. The only issue we had was to do with the food which was expensive in relation to the quality. I am a coeliac. The menu would state that items were gluten free like spring rolls when it was highy unlikely. I was told the soya sauce did not have gluten in it (which I was suspicious about). I then did feel ill on several occasions. I have since reviewed this and there is no special soya sauce and it does contain gluten. I would suggest that the menu be reviewed and staff be trained if items are going to be listed with full dietary requirements.

Superb experience at Mulu Marriott
A great base to come back to in the evening after exploring Malaysia's Mulu Caves during the day. Relax by the pool side, enjoy a dip in the pool followed by excellent food for dinner.
